Our Philosophy
Butterfly Parenting believes in supporting the whole child. What does that mean? Children need to feel independence. By exploring on their own, they learn natural give and take of life. As a parent, you provide the open opportunities and time for your child to develop. I want to come along side the parent and give them tools and ideas that I have learned over the years.
Background
I am an Early Childhood Development expert. I have been actively involved in the preschool teaching field since 2006. My bachelor’s degree in child development further enhances my expertise. I believe my unique story significantly contributes to the exceptional services I offer. As a young mom who has raised four creative children, I can deeply relate to other moms about parenting. I understand parenting is one of the hardest jobs, and over the years, I have learned the value of listening to parents and their concerns. While there are many approaches to parenting, I believe that providing expert guidance to build a child’s confidence and allowing them to figure things out in their own time is essential. Additionally, I aim to offer valuable parenting resources to support families.
My why
After 18 years of being a teacher and spending a lot of time with other peoples children, I got frustrated with only being able to talk to parents about their child on drop off or pick up or twice a year for a ten minute conference. Parents deserve more than that. They deserve community and an ear to listen and ideas on how to handle situations that come up with their children. I could see frustration on parents faces and would not be given time to help them with what I know about the precious age of preschoolers. Parents would get frustrated, my heart wanted to help but the confines of schools limited my time to help these parents. I wanted more, More for the parents, more for the children. I have more to give. This is my space and idea to give those ideas and support parents during this exciting, ever changing wonderful age of a child’s life.
